J.J. Pearce Wind Symphony - 2026 Meyerson Concert Timeline


4:25 PM Meeting in Band Hall

4:45 PM Provided Dinner in the Commons/Change into Concert Attire

5:15 PM  Help Setup for PHS Meet and Greet (Band Hall)

5:30 PM Attendance in Band Hall Chairs (In concert setup Urban)

5:40 PM Load Bus

5:45 PM Depart for the Meyerson Symphony Center

6:45 PM Wind Symphony buses arrive to Flora St entry

7:00 PM House opens

7:05 PM Wind Symphony unload final two buses and head to Horchow

7:13 PM Wind Symphony heads to Grand Tier to sit as a group for the concert

7:20 PM Ring lobby bells and close Opus dining area

7:30 PM LeAndre Benton, assistant principal,  podium microphone Welcome Announcement

7:35 PM Wind Symphony transitions to Horchow after RNJH plays first song

7:40 PM Wind Symphony is uncasing and lining up with flutes (stage right side) leading

7:45 PM Wind Symphony enters warm-up room - line up with flutes leading

8:10 PM Wind Symphony exits warm-up room - clarinet line leaders (stage left students)

8:12 PM Wind Symphony is lined up stage right entry

8:17 PM  Wind Symphony enters stage

8:22 PM Wind Symphony begins performance  (18 minute run-time)

8:40 PM Wind Symphony exits stage left & heads to Horchow

8:45 PM Wind Symphony case instruments in Horchow

8:48 PM Wind Symphony heads up to Grand Tier 

(restroom break upstairs in Grand Tier lobby)

9:02 PM Wind Symphony enters between full pieces… not movements.

Unloading Grand Tier:

Create a parade line that spans through the lobby - taking students in one line to Horchow

Wind Sym follow Symph/Con and wait outside Horchow until Symph/Con has cleared 

10:05 PM Loading Crew students & staff load two 26’ trucks at loading dock

10:45 PM Loading dock clear - lobby clear

Monday April 27

  • Class - Review Meyerson Music and Wishing Edit

  • 4:35 PM Leadership conducting session

  • 6:30 PM PABC board meeting

Tuesday April 28

  • 7:00 AM Leadership marching skills / Front Ens

Wednesday April 29 Meyerson Concert Day!

  • 11:10 AM Clinic with Mr. Warshaw (we won’t play much)

  • Parents, click HERE to purchase Meyerson tickets

  • Concert begins at 7:30 PM

  • Parents, it takes 15 minutes to park at the Meyerson, and can be upwards of a 55 minute drive from Richardson. CLICK HERE for parking details.

  • Students bring your concert attire to school on Wednesday.

  • Students will be fed at the school by the PABC.

  • Loading crew & percussion be sure to head backstage to help load the truck 20 minutes after the concert ends.

  • All students are dismissed to their parents after the concert - there is not a bus provided for the ride home. Bring everything with you to the Meyerson that you need on Wednesday evening

  • Percussion meets Mr. Z back at Pearce HS after the truck is loaded.

Thursday April 30

  • 7:00 AM Leadership conducting;

  • 10:00 AM all band students head to auditorium for Senior Signing Day for Fine Arts

  • 10:30 AM parents of participating seniors attend Signing Day in PHS Auditorium - check into the front office at 10:15 AM before heading to lobby.

  • 4:30 PM jazz band rehearsal

Friday May 1

  • 7:00 AM Phase One leadership auditions & Percussion leadership auditions;

  • 9:00 AM Bring flip folders, lyres & marching inst for Pep Rally

Saturday May 2

  • 7:00 AM Saturday May 2nd - New Member Marching Camp & Leadership Phase Two auditions

Concerto Competition schedule for Thursday May 7th is coming out early next week!

  • Performances will run from 5:15 PM to 8:30 PM, parents/family/supporters are welcome to attend the prelims.

Spring Concert Thursday May 14th begins at 6:30 PM & starts with the Wind Ensemble!

  • PABC business meeting immediately following Wind Ens est. 7:25 PM.

  • Jazz Band closes the concert!

Band Banquet is Friday May 15th from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at FBCR

Saturday May 2:

  • New Member Marching Camp for all Leadership Candidates: Wear MMB jersey

    • 7:00am-2pm:  Teaching 8th graders marching skills - PABC will feed you lunch

    • 2:30PM to 5PM:  drumline auditions

    • 2:30 PM: Leadership hopefuls will have a Phase Two results meeting

    • Those moving on to Phase Two will audition from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.


Sunday May 3:

  • 2:00 PM MMB Senior Girls Tea
