Symphonic Band Announcements

Hello J.J. Pearce Symphonic Band! Way to go wind players, for completing your auditions this week! I am proud of you! This week's focus is to prepare our Meyerson Concert music to be at the highest level we are capable of. Remember, we have a full-band rehearsal before school this week!
Start looking at Guardians of the Galaxy and High School Musical on your own. We will have a limited amount of time to rehearse this music together!

SENIORS:
Senior Signing Day for Fine Arts is Thursday, April 30th, at 10:30 AM in the PHS Auditorium during Mustang Academy
The Signing Day submission form will be open through the weekend. Please have your information submitted by this Sunday night April 19th if you are continuing on your instrument in any way next year! CLICK HERE for the form.
Seniors who submitted the form to be recognized will participate in the J.J. Pearce High School's Fine Arts Signing Day. This special event will take place on Thursday, April 30th at 10:30 AM in the PHS Auditorium during Mustang Academy. Parents and family, we invite you to attend this special event to celebrate your student continuing in the Fine Arts in college.
Majoring or minoring in music in college? Please check out this great Meyerson Scholarship opportunity provided by the PABC if you are planning to major or minor in music in college. All of the details can be found HERE. The due date for all materials to be received electronically is Thursday, April 30th by 11:59 pm.

CONCERTO COMPETITION Prelims is Thursday, May 7 2026, here at PHS after school.
We will have three divisions:
JH division: WW, Brass & Percussion
HS Non-Varsity division: WW, Brass & Percussion in Symphonic or Wind Symphony (or freshmen in the WE)
HS Varsity division: WW, Brass & Percussion in WE
Finals competition is Sunday, May 17th from 2:30 to 5:30 PM
Trophies will be awarded to the overall winners in each level and category at Finals - nine total overall winners at finals!
