2012 Flyer Parent Letter, Pledge Forms, and Route Map Pledge Forms (1 page) Post-event message from 2012 March-a-Thon chair John Glass Dear Mighty Mustang Marching Band parents: The March-a-Thon on Saturday was a huge success! The band did a fantastic job performing as they entertained the countless onlookers and supporters. Also, a big thank you goes out to the volunteers and band directors - the March-a-Thon would not have been possible without everyone's help and support. The actual march may be over, but the fundraising is still in full swing. Throughout the remainder of October, we are asking each family to solicit pledges by contacting other family members, friends, co-workers, etc. Our goal is $100 in pledges per family. (Please see attached pledge form.) Checks made payable to "Pearce Area Band Club, Inc." may be put in the band safe throughout the month of October. (Donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.) Thank you again to everyone for a successful March-a-Thon fundraiser! What is the March-a-Thon? The March-a-Thon is a fundraiser. The Mighty Mustang Band marches from J.J. Pearce out onto Mimosa, across Campbell (we have a police escort for the entire march), through the Tom Thumb and Home Depot parking lots, back across Campbell, through the Bike Mart and Sprouts parking lot, and back through the J.J. Pearce Addition and Estates North subdivision (Reservation), and then back to school. Funds are raised by the students in the form of pledges, sponsorships, and the money we collect during the march. (We pass the hat along the way and usually have good success with cash donations from shoppers who stop and watch the band!) Keep track of donations on the March-a-Thon pledge form (see link at top of page). Make contribution checks out to “PABC” and put them in the safe in the Band Hall. The PABC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and any contribution may be tax-deductible. This march is a lot of fun and a lot of hard work for our students and our parent volunteers, but the rewards of hearing all the cheers from our neighbors as we march by makes it all worthwhile! Please volunteer to help. It takes all of us working together to make this a fun and safe event for the entire band. Thank you very much for your continued support! John Glass, Chair, 2012 March-a-Thon
