by Carl Orff has been made popular by its use in many films, including Excalibur.
The twenty-five movements tell varied stories which focus on the capricious whims
of the force we today sometimes refer to as Lady Luck. The MMB's version included
nine different movements from the original, comprising four large sections.

tired of that piece during concert season but they did an absolutely
wonderful job with it. The show was very very moving and I enjoyed it
tremendously.

Trivia:(From an 1994 MMB Member) The 1994 show was arguably one of the best shows the Mighty Mustang Band has
ever put on. The guard did this really cool compression in the middle of the field. When they were compressed
all the way, the two brass blocks dissolved into free form, and everybody went on to their next spots out of
step while playing this really cool melody. The marching and music fit so well here! Then the when the trumpets
start blazing the melody way up high, everybody starts in small blocks that rotate and mesh with each other,
becoming bigger rotating blocks until we all end up in a huge trapezoid in the middle, where we proceed to
wow the heck out of the audience while not sounding offensive. Gives me chills every time I think about it.
